the good times are killing me
Nashville Billboards claim Jesus will return 5/11/11

I don’t doubt that these people have the best of intentions, but if Jesus was calling the shots in their finance department, I don’t believe that He would spend all their money on billboards. I also believe that if Christ wanted us to know the date, then He would have told us the date. To make something your life mission that God hasn’t even made a priority, seems empty.

Look at the life of Christ; did He walk around preaching FEAR and CONDEMNATION? He certainly could have, but that wasn’t worth his LIFE. If we are modeling our lives after His, then why are we doing things that He didn’t value enough to do Himself?

FEAR never motivates LOVE. Christ isn’t interested in our fire insurance, He wants our hearts!

The saddest part about this initiative is that it will cause great divisions within the Body of Christ.  One Christian jabbing another with their theology.

The world will see this as further justification that we are all nuts

..if you touch me, well i just think i’ll scream
cuz it’s been so long, since someone challenged me.
and made me think… about the way things are…
made me think…about the way they could be.
i believe it- why? oh my…

ooh my lord…ooh my lord…i don’t even know why…but…

oh! this feeling it is wonderful! don’t you ever turn it off!
oh! this feeling it is wonderful! don’t you ever turn it off!

feelings…why? oh my: human needs. heartbeats.
i can see it…all. by the way you smile.
i am with it! ooh man i am wired!

ooh my lord! ooh my lord- yeah…now i really know why!
i’m smiling too! i see myself in you.

oh! this feeling it is wonderful! don’t you ever turn it off!
oh! this feeling it is wonderful! don’t you ever turn it off

My Morning Jacket

There are only 3 things I want for Christmas.

The future is no place to place your better days..

In a meditative moment, I sourced all of my anxieties, fears, and desires into one basket. I metaphorically wrapped them up and shipped them to an unknown address. For too long I’ve lived in dwelled on the past, and lived for tomorrow. For someone like myself who reaches out to others to live in the “now”, its high time I started doing this myself.

My favorite thing about Kentucky.

Sometimes when I cant sleep I come up with an illogical hypothesis for everything, giving it a reason and understanding in my head. Like how time can be measured by a piece of string and how the knots I tie in the string represent a significant existence. Then I see what two knots on the string are closest together and use that to judge compatibility between people. If they’re touching, they’re soul-mates.
