the good times are killing me
Nashville Billboards claim Jesus will return 5/11/11

I don’t doubt that these people have the best of intentions, but if Jesus was calling the shots in their finance department, I don’t believe that He would spend all their money on billboards. I also believe that if Christ wanted us to know the date, then He would have told us the date. To make something your life mission that God hasn’t even made a priority, seems empty.

Look at the life of Christ; did He walk around preaching FEAR and CONDEMNATION? He certainly could have, but that wasn’t worth his LIFE. If we are modeling our lives after His, then why are we doing things that He didn’t value enough to do Himself?

FEAR never motivates LOVE. Christ isn’t interested in our fire insurance, He wants our hearts!

The saddest part about this initiative is that it will cause great divisions within the Body of Christ.  One Christian jabbing another with their theology.

The world will see this as further justification that we are all nuts
